Head Coach - Stephanie Kuzik

This is Stephanie's 2nd year head coach with SAS and 4th year coaching club volleyball. Stephanie went to Thorhild Central School where she played as a middle and libero on the junior and senior high teams. She played club in Edmonton as a middle for FOG and is currently still playing on a women’s team in the EVA league. She has played volleyball for 12 years and Recently graduated from NAIT with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and works for Knott Insurance as an Account Executive.

Steph and Cassie have played on many teams together since they were in Grade 9. They look forward to working together with the girls and are excited for a positive and successful 2019 season.

Assistant Coach - Cassandra (Cassie ) Nicol

This is Cassie's 1st full year and 2nd year as an assistant coach with SAS Volleyball Club. Cassie went to Thorhild Central School where she was an outside hitter in junior high, and high school. Cassie played club in Edmonton for FOG, as an OH, and currently plays on a women’s team in the EVA league. She has played volleyball for 9 years and Cassie recently graduated from MacEwan University with a Bachelor Commerce and works for Northlands as an Entertainment Development Specialist.

Steph and Cassie have played on many teams together since they were in Grade 9. They look forward to working together with the girls and are excited for a positive and successful 2019 season

Full practice schedule begins Monday, January 7th.

Additional training: Aspire training sessions will be scheduled throughout the season to aid with increasing athlete skill development.



Saville League is a series of exhibition matches that run every weekend early in the season. Each weekend (one day only) two matches are held against local teams within a 3hr window. Exact dates and times will be made available in late December. The cost of Saville league is covered in the team fees.

Saville League estimated expected dates: Jan. 5 or 6, Jan. 12 or 13, Jan. 19 or 20, Jan. 26 or 27, Feb. 2 or 3. All Saville League matches are played at the Saville Centre in Edmonton.

Volleyball Alberta Premier and National tournament dates are found on the Volleyball Alberta website.

**Exhibition matches vs. other local clubs and other local tournaments may also be arranged. Advanced notice will be provided.



The primary mode of communication for all team members, parents and coaches will be TeamSnap. This app will display all upcoming team practices, competitions and other team events, and allow you to indicate your availability. It also has a roster of players and contact information for players, parents and coaching staff. At the start of the season you will receive an invite to SAS U15 Girls TeamSnap via email. Once you accept you will be able to access TeamSnap on your phone, tablet or computer. The app is free to download and use although there are now some adds that you may pay to dismiss if you prefer. All team members are required to get this app.


Club Fees: $1,550.00

Included in the fees:

  • Athlete & Coach registration with Volleyball Alberta and Volleyball Canada
  • 2-3 on court training sessions/week.
  • Additional sport specific training.
  • Team Apparel: 2 jerseys, long sleeve warmup, practice t-shirt, backpack, and Jacket/Hoody.
  • Facility fees 
  • Registration Entry Fee for all Volleyball Alberta Premier, Provincial, and National Tournaments
  • Registration Entry Fee for Volleyball Canada National Championships
  • Coaches travel, accommodation and food allowance for out of town Premier and Provincial tournaments.
